This is my interpretation of a North American type Tomahawk. The blade was forged from an old car half-shaft and the handle is a re-cycled hammer shaft:)

Pretty great craftsmenship. Love the work done to the recycled materials. Check out mine that's going to be a prop for a video game in the future. [link]

Maybe do the wolf in the same colors as the handle? Most tribes consider the wolf to be a "brother hunter" so it has it's place on a tomahawk. Or you could burn in the same design with a wood burner using the smaller tips that can be bought.

Thanks for the comment I think you maybe right about about burning the wolf design in with some small pyrography tips, no I didnt make this one a smokable pipe.

I think it looks good and I have an idea about writing a sort of compass onto the head if you put west in line with the blade then track the sun to where it rises then you have a good compass and a good axe without sacrificing much in the axe. Just the durability of the markings would be an issue at this point and I think you could just burn them into the handle with a magnifying glass.

Great job!

...the wolf's a little tacky though, if you don't mind my saying so.

Yes I sort of had my doubts as soon as it was finished but its not un-fixable.
